Rebuilding Credit

Our office and attorneys take great pride in helping our clients not only discharge their debt but ALSO Re-Build their Credit Scores to help them financially after the discharge of the bankruptcy.

A Chapter 7 bankruptcy “falls off” your credit report after 10 years and a Chapter 13 after 7. It is not uncommon for a person’s credit score to actually improve after a bankruptcy as they are no longer liable for the debts that were discharged. Furthermore, many banks offer secured credit cards, which require a deposit to the amount of the credit limit. As you prove your ability to pay, the credit limit may be slowly increased. We have been told by mortgage brokers that home loans are possible 2 years after a chapter 7 bankruptcy.

We have also partnered with a Company called 7 Steps to 720 (can we add a link to their website here). They are a credit re-build program specifically designed for people coming out of bankruptcy. You can purchase their program yourself for $999 but as a part of every bankruptcy, we do for our clients we give them this program free of charge. That is how dedicated we are to help our clients rebuild their credit!
